"We will wave Indian flags too, if we live shamelessly on Pakistani funds" - Kashmiri separatist waving ISIS & Pak flags

Srinagar: Pakistan and ISIS (which has got nothing to do with religion) flags were waved in parts of the capital city today by brave separatists. After waving the flags for more than a hour, they stepped down on the roads. We requested them for an interview.

First to speak was Ram Prasad Pandit (name and religion changed to preserve secular fabric). He said, “I came here to wave Pakistan flags and ISIS flags. We are a group of fearless fighters. All we want is an Azad Kashmir. Then, we will be happy to call ourselves Pakistanis. We will remain as an independent country after our secession to Pakistan. So, we brought Pakistani flags and waved it to show that we are already in Pakistan.”

When asked about ISIS flags, he said, “We were just waving it because we got it for free from our respectable leader’s home. Our views on ISIS has got nothing to do with this interview.”

When asked whether he will wave Indian flag, his tone frenzied, “Yes. Why not?”, which startled us for a moment. But he brought us back to normalcy by his reply, “We will wave Indian flags too, if we live shamelessly on Pakistani tax money. But, we are living on Indian taxpayers money. We are alive because of Indian funds. All of us are made of everything Indian. So, there is no point in waving Indian flags. We have to show some difference right? If we eat, sleep and live on Indian money and wave Indian flags, you will see us as yet another Indian and not a separatist. That is why we won’t wave Indian flags.”

It was then we heard sounds of army soldiers making rounds searching for the people who waved the flags. Ram Prasad immediately hid behind our crew and requested us to call him by any Hindu name, when soldier crosses us. And, we were forced to do that, to preserve our pluralism and to give credence to the bravery of that separatist.
