Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has hit out at India, calling them small hearted, for saying that Fawad Khan won’t be welcomed in India any more. Nawaz Sharif has also said that they are large hearted people and will continue to extend the best hospitality to Indians like Dawood Ibrahim.
Nawaz Sharif is not the first Pakistani to compare the heart size of Pakistanis and Indians, something done previously by Shahid Afridi. Nawaz has said that even if India sends back every Pakistani artist currently working in India, they will not send Dawood back in response.
“If they want to send our artists like Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar back then it just goes to show that Indians are terrible hosts. Forget taking good care of the guests, they are forcing the guests out of their home. This just shows how Indians have small hearts. Compare that to our treatment of Dawood Ibrahim. You can go and ask Dawood if we have ever refused anything to him, that is a sign of a great host”, Pakistani PM said while addressing his supporters.
“We have treated Dawood like royalty here, provided him better facilities and security than Pakistan President and have never ever asked him to return to India. This is a proof of our large hearts. On the other hand, Indian politicians are giving 48 hrs to our artists to get out of India, simply unacceptable. However, this is still an improvement; India has been known to shoot down some guests that we sent past LOC. Until and unless Indians don’t develop big hearts like us, peace between the two nations will remain elusive”, Mr Sharif added.
After the recent escalation of tension between India and Pakistan, there have been calls for the boycott of Pakistani artists currently active in Bollywood. Most of the outrage is directed towards Fawad Khan who makes a special appearance in Ranbir-Anushka-Aishwarya starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, scheduled to be released on Diwali.
When asked to explain why they aren’t handing Dawood over to India since it is a long standing demand of India, PM Nawaz Sharif quickly changed tracks and said,”Dawood is not in Pakistan. Any such rumor spread by India is a lie.”
