Lahore: According to confirmed reports we are getting from Pakistan Media, an FIR has been registered against Lashkar-e-Taiba founder and Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed. The FIR is for not defending Pakistani Soldiers during the surgical strike India conducted across the Line of Control.
Pakistani Army for the first time in its history has supported what country’s civilian government has done in last two days, first for putting Hafiz Saeed under house arrest and second an ‘unconceivable’ action like an FIR against the man whom many in Pakistan still regard him as a messiah.
“Earlier after putting him under arrest, we had to release him as we could not gather proper evidence against him to register an FIR,” said Pakistani Government official Asif Ghafoor while speaking to us.
“Our investigation shows, the primary reason our Army suffered such heavy casualties in the surgical strike simply because people like Hafiz Seed did nothing to protect us,” said Government official while showing us a copy of the FIR.
Government official went on to add, “He only talks big whenever we met him, claims he has created so many sleeper cells in India. Then what were those sleeper cells doing when Indian Army was planning to attack us? They were probably sleeping like him. Why we did not get any advance notice that something like this can happen to us. More importantly where were his men, why they did not come forward to be martyred when Indian soldiers were creating havoc across the line of control.”
“Let me put it bluntly. This man Hafiz Saeed, now he is good for nothing. He is still basking in the glory of 26/11 Mumbai attack like Afridi is basking on the fastest ODI century he scored more than 20 years back. Afridi could not retire, but it’s high time we will retire this man to jail,” said the Government official.
“Pakistan Army has a rich legacy. They take immense pride in attacking from behind and want to hide behind brave men like Hafiz Seed’s team when enemy attacks them. I am sure their Army must have started looking for new talent who can become next Hafiz Saeed,” said Mahroof Raza an Indian expert on defense.
