CM Chaitu lal keeps his promise of transparent governance, spends crores on new glass structure for the assembly

21, Feb 2018 By Ad-min

Transparency and accountability are the main constituents of good governance, while good governance is a pre-condition to achieving human development. Without transparency there couldn’t be any accountability. Unless there is accountability, transparency would be of no value. Chaitu lal understands this important concept of democracy. And he is leaving no stone unturned in achieving great level of transparency in his governance. Unlike many other politicians Chaitu Lal is well informed about science and knows that glass is the most transparent thing in this world. The new glass structure that will house the state assembly is the most talked about initiative taken by him.

As part of his election campaign, Chaitu Lal had promised to make his state the most transparent in the country. Though he had not mentioned any plans for the same, he did promise that he will not ask for votes during the next elections if his government fails to live up to transparency level promised. Meetings were held on the day of his swearing in. Twitter polls were also carried out for selecting the best way to push good governance.

Some of the options given to the common man were glass structure for all government offices, live telecast of all government meetings, social media polls for each and every decision to be taken by the government and glass structure for the most important building i.e. the state assembly. The last option won by almost 1.25 % votes. That is a huge percentage in deciding such important issues.

The construction of assembly got over few days back and yesterday was the opening ceremony of the new structure. Chaitu Lal was asked as to how this step will help fulfill the promise made by him and he had this to say,” Glass structure is the very epitome of transparency. When people will be able to see how day to day activities are carried out in the assembly they will put more trust in my government. The money spent on the glass structure will be recovered by levying a very transparent tax on 1% which will be dedicated for such steps taken in future. Name a single assembly which is more transparent than ours.”

This was just one of the many #KyaUlluBanaya instances from Chaitu Lal’s stint as the CM. The jury is out on whether Chaitu Lal is living up to people’s expectations or not, but the audience can expect guaranteed entertainment on STAR PLUS’s new show ‘Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai’ from 26th Feb at 8 PM
