In a shocking incident, a man left his job only because he didn’t like the tea he was served. Abhishek Yadav, a software engineer at a Gurgaon-based MNC, had an altercation with the canteen staff on Tuesday. Soon after the argument, Abhishek went back to his desk and typed the resignation letter, immediately forwarding it to his manager, Vikram Chaiwala.
Abhishek’s resignation during the ongoing job crisis has left everyone wondering. Abhishek’s colleagues believe that Abhishek has used bad tea just as an excuse for quitting the job and he has got a better job offer somewhere else. Abhishek’s manager, Vikram Chaiwala, has a different opinion on the issue. Vikram says that Abhishek has been an average performer and came to office mainly for the free tea, so him getting a job somewhere else is almost impossible.
Faking News reporter spoke to Abhishek who said, “Look, I don’t have any hobbies. I don’t travel much, neither am I a foodie. The only thing I like is tea. And I can go to any extent for a cup of good tea. These days it has become really difficult to get good tea. I can’t work in a company that can’t serve good tea specially when even the Prime Minister of the country himself makes good tea.”
This is not the first case when a person has behaved strangely for a cup of tea. A few days back, a man was in the news for travelling 373 kms on his bike only for a cup of tea from a specific tea stall. Coffee lovers who once used to spend their entire day at Starbucks are now seen at tea stalls just outside the Starbucks outlets. Is it the MODI effect? Or is India truly becoming a tea-loving country? Only time will tell.
