Mountain View, CA. Google is organizing a mass webinar funeral of Orkut – the father of social networking site, on 30th September.
As per reports, who’s who of social networking world will be attending the grand funeral. Despite being fierce competitors, Google has invited Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft’s newly appointed CEO Satya Nadella.
Funeral venue will be the Google home page, which will have a doodle to remember the good old Orkut. Anyone from common public too can attend the funeral, and the only pre-requisite is that the person should have an Orkut account, which will be archived after the event.
Orkut Scrap Council, a non working staff group of Google, is looking after the arrangement. Reportedly, after 2009, these were the guys who were looking after Orkut. So sensing their emotional attachment with the website, they have been allowed to organize last event in any way they want to do.
A member of Orkut Scrap Council disclosed that the event will start with Mahatama Gandhi’s favorite bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram‘.
“That will be followed by homage notes from major Twitter celebs like Justin Bieber, Barack Obama, and KRK. Late Steve Job’s old lectures on great things in this world will also be played. Finally, the event will conclude with a selfie ceremony,” he added.
A highly placed source within Google tells Faking News that servers of the search engine will not perform any search operation during the entire event.
