Sydney. In order to respond to the mind games started by Australian players ever since it became apparent that they will meet India in semi-finals, Indian team has decided to get back at them by sending their players photos of legendary ex-cricketer VVS Laxman minutes before match.
These photos will be mailed on the personal IDs of players as well as Facebook, WhatsApp or any other Social Networking media where they are active. Along with Laxman’s photos, it will also have a screenshot of Laxman’s stats against Australia.
“No player has given as many nightmares to Australia as much as Laxman pa. Though not many from their current lot had the misfortune of playing against him, but still it is enough to create a panic in their dressing room,” Dhoni explained the reason behind mailing Laxman’s pics.
“100 sunaar ki ek luhar ki,” he added when asked why Indian team had not responsed to the verbal volleys thrown by Austrlian players do far.
Sources say initially the responsibility of sending this mail was entrusted on Kohli, but Dhoni later decided against it after a draft message prepared by Kohli could not be sent on Facebook because of high profanity.
