As per eyewitness, as soon as Uzma crossed the Wagah border and entered India, news reporters from various channels pounced on her to get her first reactions. In the chaos that followed once news reporter pulled out a gun and whisked her in a waiting jeep to the news studio.

“It’s quiet now. They came from the blackness,” said one eyewitness, while trying to explain to our reporter how it all happened.

Local police are looking for leads but have still no clue about the woman’s whereabouts. No news channel has yet taken responsibility for the abduction. Sources who didn’t wish to be named are pointing fingers at Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV but the news channel has denied involvement.
