Lucknow: With elections around the corner in UP, it is the season of ticket distribution in Samajwadi Party. Party supremo Mulayam Singh has issued his list of candidates, state CM and Mulayam’s son Akhilesh Yadav has issued his own list of candidates. While several leaders are confused about the whole thing, one leader from Eastern UP, Ram Kumar, is really angry after he saw that his name doesn’t figure in either of the 2 lists. Ram Kumar has now decided to issue his own list of SP candidates for the elections and has mentioned his name right at the top.
“I have been with the Samajwadi Party ever since I was born and now I have been ignored so completely by the father-son duo. After I didn’t find a mention in Mulayam Ji’s list, I thought our young leader Akhilesh must be giving me a ticket since I am among the younger politicians, only 65 years old. However, even he forgot to give me the ticket from any seat. What do they think, only they can issue lists? I can issue my own list of candidates in which I will figure prominently”, an irate Kumar said.
“I am requesting every other leader in SP as well to come out with their own list of candidates. At the end, we can see which candidate has got majority recommendations from a seat and then he can go on to fight elections. That will be the right way to go about it in a democracy. America also does the same through the primary process”, he added.
However, party supremo Mulayam SIngh Yadav has trashed the list of candidates issued by Ram Kumar. “I am not reading my son’s list and he thinks we will give any importance to such small timers? He isn’t even a Yadav”, Mulayam said.
Meanwhile, CM Akhilesh Yadav was listening to Haanikaarak Bapu song from Dangal and was playing the line ‘Tujhse behtar apni Hindi filmon ke khalnayak hain’ on loop.
