Mumbai: An atheist man was converted in a broad daylight by a religious outfit but the media chose not to report it since they could not determine if it was a secular conversion or communal.
A religious outfit which is notoriously famous for converting people by luring them with cash and kind had organized this program but the news failed to find its way to the mainstream media and the Parliament, which seem so outraged at conversion these days.
When reporter Shaitaan Khopdi™ approached news channel Bhindi TV and informed them about what happened, he was politely refused to be entertained. The journalists asked, “Which religion the man got converted from and was it a case of Ghar Wapasi?” Shaitaan Khopdi™ had no Idea about it and told the channel that it should not matter. A conversion is a conversion. But the journalist was not amused. Journalist then sent back Shaitaan Khopdi™ to find out which religion the ex-atheist has joined now so that they can be sure if this conversion comes under secular conversion or communal conversion.
Shaitaan Khopdi™ approached the converted man PK* and talked about his conversion.
*Name changed to maintain secular credentials.
SK: Hello, how are you doing?
PK: I am doing just exactly as I was doing before. Nothing changed. Just some new books in prayer room and few zeros added in bank account.
SK: So why did you turn believer?
PK: After finishing my MBA, I was going through financial crunch and approached banks to apply loan for setting up a business. They refused and I was not sure what to do. Then I saw this pamphlet in Sunday news-paper which said that miracles can happen if I join their religion.
SK: Surely if educated people start believing in such things, it’s nothing less than a miracle.
PK: I get money to setup my business without answering any questions, for me it is nothing less than a miracle.
SK: What if the business doesn’t do well?
PK: Not a problem, I will convert to some other religion. People change jobs, I will change religion. These days more people are ready to offer religion than the banks offering credit cards.
SK: And what about the money you have taken to setup your business?
PK: It’s all unaccounted black money. They can’t even ask it ask legally.
SK: That’s smart thinking. So how is life after leaving atheism?
PK: With so many sources available to fund my business I do believe that God is there and is listening to my prayers.
