Sumit’s hard work

During the Independence Day celebrations in office, Sumit procured and installed 1 National Flag in office and played the National Anthem on the sound system installed in the office. This was more work than what he had done during the previous 6 weeks and it tired him immensely. To recover, he decided to take this leave to ensure he remains physically and mentally healthy.

“I know I shouldn’t have gone all out during the Independence Day celebrations but that’s just who I am, no half measures. Unfortunately, my body was unable to deal with the sudden workload that it had to deal with. I put mind over matter for the duration of the celebrations but now it needs some rest. I am heading out of India for a 2 weeks’ vacation to heal my body. Hopefully when I return, I will be ready to face the challenge of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations”, Sumit said.

When we asked whether they can avoid celebrating these festivals and events if they are so taxing, Sumit replied,”Oh no, we must celebrate these occasions. Celebrating them together brings our team together and when they come together, it brings togetherness which is very important for the success of the organization. Also, what else will I do in office if we stop celebrating these festivals? Every other work from payroll to recruitment has been outsourced. Naukri khaoge kya bhai?”

Sumit also revealed that he has already booked tickets for his next vacation to rest his body that is expected to get tired after arranging everything for Ganesh Chaturthi.
