SRK promises special screening of Ra.One inside Tihar for Kanimozhi

23, Oct 2011 By Pagal Patrakar

New Delhi. After DMK chief M Karunanidhi pleaded with the Congress high command for his daughter Kanimozhi’s bail before Diwali, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come to the rescue of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. SRK has assured Karunanidhi that he would be talking to Tihar Jail authorities for a special screening of his upcoming movie Ra.One, which releases on Diwali, so that Kanimozhi didn’t miss out on the fun.

“Why else would Dr. Karunanidhi want his daughter to be released before Diwali? Of course, he wants to enjoy Ra.One with his full family!” Shah Rukh Khan replied when asked why he made such an offer to the DMK chief.

SRK refused to believe that there could be any other reason, apart from Ra.One, for anyone anywhere to plan anything this Diwali.

“Nobody should miss the spirit of Diwali, not even Kanimozhi, or others lodged in Tihar jail,” he said, and clarified that he didn’t have any problem if other inmates in Tihar jail also wanted to watch Ra.One during the special screening, however they will have to buy the tickets.

SRK clarified that Kanimozhi won’t be charged for watching the movie and she would be allowed to choose one inmate of her choice for this free screening. With experts picking A Raja as the favorite, other inmates like Suresh Kalmadi and those arrested in cash-for-votes case have complained of “discrimination”.

“Why should girls have all the fun?” Kalmadi wondered when Faking News contacted him for a comment, “First Sheila Dixit, and now Kanimozhi; I’m sick of women being given preferential treatment over me, even while sailing in the same boat.”

“This proves that SRK is involved in the 2G scam,” a former BJP MP, currently in Tihar for the cash-for-votes case alleged and asked his supporters to boycott Ra.One.

SRK has refused to react to these allegations. “I am not interested in creating any controversy before the movie’s release,” King Khan said, drawing winks and nudges from the journalists present.

Experts believe that the move by SRK is aimed at fully capturing the Tamil market after he roped in superstar Rajinikanth for a cameo in the movie.

“But he might be overdoing it,” an expert cautioned, “Furthermore, he could get into trouble for this; unless he makes amends and immediately offers a special screening for Amma.”
