05, Aug 2016 By Pagal Patrakar

Mumbai. Busybee Software Services showed immense and unprecedented care for employee welfare and happiness when they allowed their employees to work from railway stations after many of them were stuck due to heavy rains this morning. It was raining so heavily that normal size umbrellas were proving to be ineffective and at least five employees couldn’t come out of Mumbai local stations even though they had reached there at time.

“They could have got drenched badly,” Sumit Sarkar, HR head of the company told Faking News why the company took the action, “All of them were carrying office issued laptops and the company assets were at risk of being damaged. So we asked them to work from the respective stations.”

Sources say that at least two employees – Sahil and Ravindra – were stuck at Mumbai Central Railway Station. HR gave them additional orders to use free Wi-Fi provided by Railways at the station.

“What’s wrong in that? At least half an hour of work was lost as these employees were stuck due to bad infrastructure by the government. So our costs should be compensated by the government,” Sumit justified company using free Wi-Fi for business purposes.

HR Association of India has welcomed this step and initiative by Busybee and has decided to lobby with the government to reserve one platform on Mumbai local stations where employees can work when it’s raining.
