Hard to find Honeypreet because all news channels are showing her at separate locations: Haryana Police

26, Sep 2017 By Santosh Pradhan

Haryana Police on Tuesday conducted searches in Delhi to trace jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief’s adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan against whom an arrest warrant has been issued in connection with incidents of violence following Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s conviction. Apparently, Haryana police has still not been able to trace Honeypreet’s location and they blame it on the growing number of news channels, each showing a different location of Honeypreet.

Haryana police has been off late too reliant on the journalists of news channels and they try to use their inputs in nabbing criminals and tracing locations of suspected criminals. Right after Baba Gurmeet was jailed, every news channel has claimed that it knows the location of ‘Papa’s Angel’ and Haryana police has been covering those locations one after another. According to the Haryana Police, in today’s age news channels know more about the criminals, or at least they claim to do so , so trusting their conviction is an important part of a policemen’s job.

Faking News reporter caught up with Haryana Police official Mr. Harneet Ahuja and he had this to say,” Whenever I need to trace a criminal, I either watch news channels or CID. These shows are way ahead than the police force in terms of intelligence inputs. Sometimes we even take some reporters with us to reach a precise criminal hideout. We have also sent some constables to do an internship at some reputed news channels. But nowadays there is so much competition among the news channels that each one is showing a different location of Honeypreet and so it makes life tough for the police force. We are confused about which channel to follow. We cannot always flip a coin and decide which news channel is correct. So I appeal to the news channels to come together and work towards the larger goal.”
