New Delhi: Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, Mr. Jagadesh Kumar, has given a suggestion to his counterpart in Banaras Hindu University to tackle the student unrest in the University. The protests at BHU against unabated and increasing incidents of eve-teasing haven’t seemed to reach any conclusion and Mr. Kumar decided to help Mr. Girish Chandra Tripathi, BHU’s VC. Mr. Kumar has advised that BHU should get a couple of tanks inside the campus to end the protests and spread peace and harmony.
Speaking to the press near a protest over something in JNU, V-C Kumar said ,”I have always believed that there is no problem inside a University that can’t be solved with a couple of tanks. With the tanks there, rowdy romeos of the campus will stay in line because they will be scared of tanks, protesting students will stop protesting because they will remember their duty to the nation and they will stop wasting time with silly protests, onlookers who are busy watching the protest will start gathering around the tanks to look at them, entire protest will be over in 2 minutes.”
“Lack of tanks inside our campuses is the biggest cause of these protests in the first place. Tanks aren’t needed at the border, they are needed inside Universities, keeps everyone in line and gets their minds focused on studies. Hopefully, BHU V-C will pay heed to my advice and get some tanks in ASAP”, V-C Kumar added.
When someone asked why are the students behind him protesting, V-C Kumar said ,”I don’t know. it is JNU, who can keep track.”
