Bengaluru: Prabhat Sinha, who is working for a top MNC here in Bengaluru for last five years invited his parents to visit him during Dussehra holidays this year.
As Prabhat’s parents have visited the IT city during their college time and have seen all major historical monuments and iconic places, he wanted to show them something ‘unique’ which they have never seen and more importantly they will never get a chance to see in the small town his dad is working right now.
“After talking to my manager, I had only three and half days in my hand. In that period, it was not possible for me to take them ‘far’ from the city. Thought, why not show them some of the biggest & iconic traffic jams we have here. My target was to show them at least 4 major ones, told them if we are lucky few minor ones we will see on the way”, said Prabhat while talking to us.
When we asked how he ‘finalized’ the list of four considering three are so many old legendary jams and then new ones getting added regularly, he said, “First my own experience. Then I did little bit of research. At the end, I zeroed down on four major landmarks. KR Puram-Old madras road, Marathahalli-Kundalahalli, Mysore road and of course the legendry Silk Board Junction which I kept for the last day”.
Prabhat added, “Kept the list a secret as I didn’t want to hurt the sentiments of my friends who are facing so many jams. They will ask me why I ignored their area. It was my list, I am sure everyone here will have his own list”.
When we asked how was the ‘experience’, Prabhat said, “For a person like me who has seen so many jams here every day, it was still ‘unique’ for me. You can imagine the state of my parents. They just loved it”.
While catching the train from majestic, my mom told me, “Thanks Beta, tera paas toh time nahin humme char dham dikhane ke liye. At least iss life mein humme Char Jam to dikha diya. God bless you my son”.
