From the figures of the growth of the cosmetics industry in India, it is more than evident that the beauty contests achieved their main purpose of pushing and establishing the beauty business in India. Cosmetics companies are now targeting smaller towns and even villages. And advertisements are a big way to push forward the agenda. But with the current crop of audience who are aware about everything, your hypocrisy may be exposed. And that is exactly what happened to ‘Fairest Fair’ when it started looking for a new face for its next campaign.

‘Fairest Fair’ has been pushing its products by highlighting the fact that they are anti-ageing and people using it will have no worries about wrinkles and ageing skin. The model working for them has been very loyal to the brand and she herself has been using the products since a long time. Just days back when she turned 30, she and her beauty were no more an asset for the company. The company felt that it needed a young face to promote its products. How can a person using anti-ageing products be removed from an anti-ageing campaign because she turned old. Well this unbelievable incident has put everyone in a state of shock.

Faking News reporter caught up with the CEO of ‘Fairest Fair’, Mr. Shwetank Srivastava, and he said,” See, to show the anti ageing property of our products, its inevitable for us to always have a young person promoting it. Older people promoting it will have a negative impression about the brand. Demands from people have drastically increased. They want their skin to look like 20 when their actual age is 50. How can we make such products? So we have to sell what we actually make. I hereby invite all pretty faces to come and audition for the very important role.”
