New Delhi. Renowned management guru, economist, entrepreneur, professor, motivational speaker, author and philosopher Dr. Arindam Chaudhuri has been ranked number one in the world in terms of “legal exposure”. The ranking was announced today by Forbes, an international magazine that ranks persons and institutions on various parameters such as wealth, influence, and quality. Dr. Chaudhuri topped the list of 1000 persons who loved being occupied with legal proceedings.
“Not many people have the flair of dealing with criticism as Dr. Chaudhuri does,” Forbes India editor Indrajit Gupta said, “It’s a rare quality and we thought to recognize this talent. Frankly, we came up with this special category of ‘legal exposure’ just to felicitate Dr. Chaudhuri.”

Forbes editor candidly admitted that their team, with Arindam Chaudhuri already “ranked number one” in their minds, came up with various tools to create a list of persons having some sort of “legal exposure” – whatever it meant.
“Although the idea was to recognize the talent of dealing with criticism, we realized that a proxy could be the number of legal cases a person is handling as plaintiff,” Forbes editor explained.
“However, the reverse is not true. For example, Dr. Subramanian Swamy had almost nudged Arindam Chaudhuri from the top position but thankfully yesterday’s developments made sure that Dr. Chaudhuri regained the top position,” Gupta referred to the Prime Minister’s rejection of Swamy’s demand to prosecute Chidambaram and Sonia Gandhi, and Arindam’s decision to sue a magazine and Google India for defamation and causing him “grave harassment and injury”.
“While Dr. Swamy lost an opportunity to file another case, Dr. Chaudhuri successfully filed one; and we had a clear winner, as we had always wanted,” Gupta said, declaring Dr. Arindam Chaudhuri as number one in legal exposure.
Gupta reiterated that the methodology followed by Forbes to declare Arindam “number one” was “legal” and “standard” and has been traditionally followed by most ranking agencies and media organizations in cases where Arindam Chaudhuri or IIPM, his institute, were involved.
To celebrate the latest feather in his cap and to consolidate his number one position, Dr. Arindam Chaudhuri has decided to sue all street hawkers and magazine stall owners in the country for selling the “defamatory” magazine. The argument offered to sue these hawkers and stall-owners have been the same as behind the lawsuit against Google India – for “distributing, giving coverage and circulating the defamatory, libelous and slanderous articles.”
