BJP's Vice-President nominee M. Venkaiah Naidu today quit the party and handed over the reigns to Smriti Irani. Mr. Naidu, who earlier handled the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, relinquished his services by writing a farewell letter addressed to all his cabinet colleagues and well wishers.
An officer from the BMC who was on his way to serve notice to RJ Malishka for breeding mosquitoes, ended up with minor injuries after his bike fell into a pothole. The incident took place in Bandra after the officer lost control of his bike owing to a huge pothole in the center of an arterial road.
The roads are packed in the morning, with vehicles coming in both directions. It takes two hours to reach the halfway mark. People stop the cars and read news papers, smoke a cigarette, play mobile games and also do several other strange things while stuck at traffic.
When asked how his family reacted, he replied “My family has been very supportive right from the 3rd attempt. Initially, my dad was disappointed, but when I explained to him that the more attempts I give, the better job I’ll get, he got on board after the 10th attempt.
